Midnight in the Garden // 30"x40"

There is a garden just outside my studio and as someone who doesn’t always sleep through the night, I have been known to peek outside or even step outside in the middle of the night. The environment is completely altered in the moonlight and mysterious shadows are cast through the trees onto the stepping stones. It becomes a magical, mysterious place and that’s the feeling I tried to capture in this painting.
