This collection of translucent ribbons caught my attention as I wrapped a birthday gift and an idea for a new painting composition was born! Painting translucency (and all the hue changes that go along with it) with opaque paint was quite a challenge and I relied heavily on glazing mediums to accomplish it. In the end, I love this tangle of ribbons!
