“Showstoppers” was so named because of the beautiful design of these crystal decanters, gifted to me by a dear friend. (She knew I was more likely to paint them than pour wine into them! This won’t be the last painting featuring them, I’m sure.) Their iconic status is enhanced by the perspective - looking upward at them - as well as the backdrop that mimics fading daylight. They become a crystal skyline, don’t you think?
